 Walking as a Team is a great way to support the Race and spend time with your family, friends, coworkers, or school friends.
Teams are also a great way to celebrate breast cancer survivors and to honor the lives of lost loved ones.
In 2009, more than 25,000 people participated in the Race as part of a team! This year we want to have more Teams, raise more money, and have more fun!
What is a Team?
A Team is 10 or more people who pre-register for the Race as a group. We encourage all teams to choose a catchy team name and create a team page to track how much money you raise as a group and individually.
Your Team members don’t have to participate in the same event on Race day. Team members can choose the event in which they want to participate. They can participate in the Co-Ed 5K Run/Walk, Co-Ed 5K Walk, the 1 Mile Family Walk, or even Sleep In for the Cure®!
Create a Team
When you create your Team, you also register as the first member of that team…that makes you the Captain! As Captain you get options for registering others and for sending email invitations to everyone you want to join.
How Do I Captain My Team?
To “Captain” your Team, you need to make sure everyone on your Team registers. Again this year, all team members who register online will have their T-shirts mailed directly to them. As Team Captain, you will only need to pick up the T-shirts at Team Packet Pickup for those who register on paper!
On Race Day you should pick a place for your Team to meet so you can all start together! We will have an alphabetized Team Meeting Area at Registration (east lots) to make it easier for you to find one another.

- September 24, 2010: Team Packet Pickup Begins 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- September 25, 2010: Last Day for Team Packet Pickup 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Fundraise
